I finished my first manuscript after three years of writing and now searching for reliable book editing services feels completely overwhelming. A fellow writer I know paid heavily for editing that changed her entire tone and stripped her story's personality away. That honestly scared me. So seriously  which book editing service did you use, how did they handle your original voice, what did revisions look like, and what would you warn another first-time author about today?
